The Wests Tigers are reportedly interested in signing standout winger Sunia Turuva, perhaps adding to the Penrith Panthers’ player losses at the end of the season.
Turuva is expected to confirm his future soon, as Penrith cannot match with market offers for the winger.
Despite the Panthers’ salary budget space expanding with the departures of James Fisher-Harris and Jahrome Luai, they are unable to enhance their tabled offer of $350,000 per year for the Fijian international.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the 21-year-old has been offered a multi-year contract worth $450,000 per season by the Tigers, and if accepted, Turuva will join the club alongside current teammate Luai next year.
Turuva has close ties to 2025 Tigers players, including former Panther and current Wests Tigers captain Api Koroisau, who is his first cousin.
The Dragons have showed interest in Turuva, offering a contract worth $400,000 to $600,000 per season, with position bonuses included.
Turuva may earn up to $600,000 if he contracts with the Dragons and agrees to start at fullback.
