C.J. Moore is back to the Detroit Lions, just over a year after being suspended indefinitely for wagering on football games.

Moore signed a one-year contract with the Lions on Tuesday, adding depth to their secondary and special teams. The team also signed Kyle Peko, a free agency defensive lineman.

Moore was one of five Lions suspended last spring as part of a gambling investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of ten players from five different clubs.

In April, the NFL reinstated Moore and four other players who sat out the whole 2023 season. Former Lions Quintez Cephus and Demetrius Taylor, former Washington Commanders defensive end Shaka Toney, and former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Rashod Berry.
