GOOD NEWS: Kentucky has completed making a huge signing today…

Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have done an excellent job of adding transfer portal athletes to their rosters for the next season.

However, Pope has now expanded into the high school ranks, as another freshman will join the team next season.

Trent Noah, a Harlan native and South Carolina signee, said on May 7th that he had been freed from his NLI with the Gamecocks and will reopen his recruitment.

Noah has elected to stay in-state and play for the Wildcats next season. According to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander, Noah has committed to Kentucky!

Noah verified the news on Twitter. This brings the roster to ten scholarship players for the upcoming season.

Noah is presently ranked as the No. 103 overall player and the 25th overall small forward. He is ranked second in the state, trailing only Travis Perry, a fellow Wildcat.

Last season, the 6-foot-6 forward averaged 29.9 points, 56% shooting (43% on threes), and 10.4 rebounds per game for Harlan County, breaking the school’s all-time scoring record and finishing fifth all-time in KHSAA points.

He also guided Harlan County to its first state championship game appearance, but they lost to Perry and Lyon County.

This is an excellent addition to Pope’s lineup, and he will undoubtedly be a fan favorite due to his home state ties. Noah can sit and develop before possibly becoming a significant.
