JUST IN: Kentucky has announces the departure of three key players…

Noah and his family were overjoyed that the Harlan County product would be joining an exclusive group from Harlan County to play on the United Kingdom men’s basketball team.

“It’s an honor to be from this area and represent Kentucky,” Noah added. “There’s also a sense of pride associated with that. I’m just thrilled that my name is mentioned alongside their names. Harlan has produced several remarkable athletes. Those are quite special, and the opportunity to play at the University of Kentucky is truly a dream come tru

The Harlan community is also thrilled to see Noah take the court in Lexington as the county’s first Wildcat on the men’s basketball team since Dickie Parsons over 60 years ago.

Chris Jones, a former Harlan Daily Enterprise photographer, told WYMT how rewarding it will be to see Noah succeed in college after documenting him as a child.

“This is an honor that he deserves,” Jones stated. “I believe he will do a terrific job. I am delighted he has the opportunity to play for Kentucky.”

Will Clem, a Harlan local, also emphasized how Noah will embody the ambitions of so many young players hoping to play basketball in the Bluegrass.
