Brown declared for the NFL Draft in January following four seasons at Rutgers, but did not get selected. He was named Academic All-Big Ten three times during his stint with the Scarlet Knights.

Brown, a native of Jamaica, New York, began his undergraduate career as a defensive tackle at Boston undergraduate. He transferred to Rutgers in 2020 and started five games as a left guard in 2021.

Brown, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 300 pounds, started 11 games at center as a junior but only participated in eight as a reserve during his senior season.Gus Zilinskas started all 13 games for the Scarlet Knights in 2023.

Brown left Florham Park, New Jersey, without a contract despite taking part in the New York Jets Rookie Minicamp. This offseason, Miami inked former Tennessee Titans center Aaron Brewer to a three-year contract. Unless he is called upon to start at guard, Liam Eichenberg is expected to be the backup.

Brown and fellow UDFA center Andrew Meyer still have a chance to be selected by the Dolphins.San Diego State center Alama Uluave, a 2023 undrafted free agency, spent the most of the previous campaign on the practice squad. Uluave did not see any playing time with the Dolphins despite making 54 appearances for the Aztecs.
