The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs’ representative winger Josh Addo-Carr is reportedly linked to an exit, raising doubts over his future there.
The 28-year-old was part of a contentious incident at the Koori Knockout competition earlier this month that caused him to leave Mal Meninga’s Australian Kangaroos team before it was thought that the matter had been resolved through peace negotiations with Bulldogs powerbrokers.
Phil Gould, the head coach of the Bulldogs’ football team, has strongly refuted rumors that Addo-Carr could leave Belmore.
“I have no idea who spread these rumors. I’m not sure why these rumors were formed. He said to 9News on Thursday, “I don’t know why people get into these rumors; it’s got me beat.”
“I don’t know what’s going on with Josh Addo-Carr and why he’s in the papers at the moment.”
Gould also outlined the rationale for a recent discussion with Addo-Carr before highlighting the significance of the winger for the team.
