Blaize Talagi, a talented young man from Parramatta, has identified St George Illawarra as a serious contender for his signature.
The Dragons have been working hard behind the scenes to try to finalize a deal for the past few months, but the Eels have put up a three-year contract well over $1 million to keep Talagi.
The Dragons have assured Talagi that there is an easy route into the Red V NRL team in the centers, given that Red V flyer Zac Lomax is expected to move teams and play in the centres for the Eels the following season.
