Latest Alabama News: Just In Alabama Confirm Departure Of Top Experienced Star

A former Alabama football player has moved to a new residence. On Tuesday night, Khurtiss Perry declared his intention to move to Virginia Tech.

In the spring window, the defensive lineman was UA’s first portal entry. Following spring workouts with Kalen DeBoer and the new coaching staff, five scholarship players departed the program. All save Tony Mitchell, an additional talented prep star from within the state, have found homes.

At Pike Road, Perry was named the 2021 Class 5A Player of the Year. He became a four-star recruit and attracted interest from the Tide, Auburn, and Clemson. In his most recent recruitment, Perry received calls from Louisville, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
“Although my experience at Alabama has been incredible, I feel that the next phase of my path as a student-athlete is to investigate new opportunities through the transfer portal. Perry posted on social media after accessing the site on April 23. “This decision wasn’t made lightly; It’s a step towards achieving my ultimate goals and aspirations in football,” Perry stated.

With Brent Pry, the Hokies finished 7-6 last season and won the Military Bowl. Chris Marve, the defensive coordinator in his second year, will now have the opportunity to use Perry’s 6-foot-2 stature in the trenches. Perry spent his first two years as a college player in only one game.
