The Atlanta Braves reinstated right-handed pitcher Pierce Johnson from the injured list on Saturday, subsequently optioning right-hander Jackson Stephens to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Johnson, 33, had been sidelined due to elbow inflammation.

His most recent appearance was on April 29 against Seattle. This season, Johnson holds a 2-1 record with a 3.00 ERA and one save across 13 relief appearances.
Stephens, who was called up when Johnson was placed on the injured list on May 4, has performed well, posting a 2.70 ERA in three outings. Over his five-season career with the Cincinnati Reds and the Braves, Stephens has accumulated a 7-7 record, a 4.15 ERA, and two saves in 83 appearances, including five starts.
