This coming game day, WNBA rookie Kamilla Cardoso will make her injury comeback for the Chicago Sky. The 6-foot-7 center will be available on Saturday, June 1, when Chicago plays the Indiana Fever in Indianapolis. The game will feature Cailtin Clark.

Against the Minnesota Lynx in the Sky’s preseason opener, Cardoso sustained a shoulder injury. She had six points and four rebounds at the end of the game when she left due to an injury.
The South Carolina-born rookie center is yet to appear in a regular season game for the Sky. She came out of South Carolina and was selected third overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. At No. 7, LSU’s Angel Reese was selected.
Chicago’s 2024 season and beyond are the subject of a lot of anticipation and enthusiasm due to the interior presence of both Cardoso and Reese. However, spectators had to wait longer than anticipated to witness the pair play together on the court.

In her first two WNBA games without Cardoso on the court, Reese has performed admirably. Her averages for each game are 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and one steal. The Sky’s record after two games this season is 1-1.
The Fever’s record is 0–4 with some bumps in the road. With an average of 17 points and 5.5 assists per game, the rookie guard leads the squad in both scoring and assists. However, Clark has also struggled with turnovers—he has committed 26 in four games.
