Brandon Ingram, the New Orleans Pelicans’ star, will be out for at least two weeks after injuring his left knee against the Orlando Magic on Thursday.
During the third quarter, Ingram seemed to injure his knee while contesting a drive by Magic guard Jalen Suggs. He needed assistance from his teammates to return to the dressing room and was eventually ruled out.
Prior to his exit, Ingram had 14 points and four rebounds, making seven of his 12 shots.
While the entire nature of his injury is unknown, losing the former All-Star for an extended period of time would be costly for a Pelicans club that is pushing for position in the Western Conference playoff picture.
