NEWARK, New Jersey — The New Jersey Devils roster will alter this summer, as happens when a team fails to achieve its goal.
Tom Fitzgerald, the general manager, has re-signed several players, notably Kurtis MacDermid, and appointed Sheldon Keefe as bench coach.
Fitzgerald stated that he is “big game hunting” for a goalkeeper to join Jake Allen in tandem.
Fitzgerald was searching for a coach with whom he could communicate, but it appears that Keefe will not be involved in player personnel conversations.
