In a strategic move to bolster their quarterback depth, the Tennessee Titans have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph to a one-year contract worth up to $3.62 million. This deal, reported by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, comes as the Titans aim to fortify their options behind rookie signal-caller Will Levis.
Mason Rudolph, 28, joins the Titans after spending six seasons with the Steelers, who drafted him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. During his tenure in Pittsburgh, Rudolph amassed 3,085 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions across 21 games. Notably, he holds a commendable 8-4-1 record from his 13 starts, showcasing his ability to lead under pressure.
Last season, Rudolph played a crucial role when called upon, particularly filling in admirably for the injured Kenny Pickett. His contributions helped the Steelers secure a playoff berth, highlighting his reliability and adaptability on the field.
With Rudolph now in the mix alongside Levis and third-year quarterback Malik Willis, the Titans’ quarterback room gains valuable experience and versatility. Rudolph’s arrival marks a new chapter for him in Tennessee, where he aims to make a significant impact and contribute to the team’s ambitions for the upcoming season.
