Roosters centre Michael Jennings faces a nervous wait with the match review committee after being reported for a high shot during a tense 34-30 victory against Manly.
The incident occurred in the 30th minute, when Jennings followed down a kick, and Jason Saab was sent off for an HIA following the tackle.
“That right arm might have just snuck around when he made contact… which can happen,” remarked league legend Greg Alexander on Fox Sports.
Saab’s departure proved to be a disaster for the Sea Eagles, as the winger failed to return.
The Roosters dominated at Allianz Stadium, leading 22-0 after 20 minutes with to scores from Joseph Suaalii, James Tedesco, Luke Keary, and Dom Young.
Manly eventually hit back through Luke Brooks, but Victor Radley was the next to go over.
Toafofoa Sipley scored the final touchdown of the half, making it 28-12 at the interval.
The Sea Eagles started well in the second half, with Tommy Talau scoring, but the Roosters extended their lead to 34-18 in the 69th minute, when Jennings scored his first of the night.
