It’s commitment day for two of LSU Football’s top recruiting prospects.

The LSU football team starts the day with the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class, trailing only Alabama and Ohio State. The Tigers’ recruiting class has 22 commitments, 11 on each side of the football, and in most years, the Tigers would be practically finished. With 20 additional scholarships available next season, organizations like LSU could enroll roughly 40 players from this class.

The Tigers have the opportunity to add two new commits, one on each side of the football.

It all begins on the offensive side of the ball with tight end Mike Tyler. According to On3’s Industry recruiting rankings, Tyler is the 38th best tight end in the class and the 714th top athlete overall. The tight end

Mike Tyler. On3’s Industry recruiting rankings ranks Tyler as the 38th ranked tight end in the class and the 714th best player in the class. The tight end is down to three school but, LSU is the favorite to land Tyler which would add another elite talent to this offensive class.

Later in the day, the Tigers will hope to land safety Bryce Fitzgerald. On3 ranks Fitzgerald as the eighth ranked safety in the class and the 101st ranked player overall. The Tigers jumped into this race late and it seems like they may lose out but, the team will remain in this one until signing day.

The team is better off missing with Fitzgerald as they already star Jonah Williams  have Jhase Thomas and CJ Jimcoily on board. The LSU Football team remains one of the finalists for five at safety who also commits this month.
