Leeds united have been credited with interest in signing Ecuadorian winger Alan Minda from Belgian club Cercle Brugge this January.
Daniel Farke and the 49ers ought to have one eye on the January window already as the Whites look to consolidate a position in the top two in the near future.
Adding to the attack is perhaps one of the most pertinent issues for the recruitment staff, addressing the balance of the side in the process too
A report from Ecuador outlet Mercado Futbol EC has claimed this week that Leeds are interested in signing Cercle Brugge winger Alan Minda.
The 21-year-old is a senior Ecuador international with two goals in 12 caps for the South American nation, and has impressed since making the move to Europe and the Belgian Pro League.
Minda has two goals and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring and assisting against Isaac Schmidt’s former club St Gallen in October.
Predominantly a right-winger, Minda has played everywhere across the attacking setup already despite being in the infancy of his career.
Having only joined Cercle Brugge from Independiente in July 2023, he still has plenty of time on his contract, which runs until 2028
Leeds need an attacker that is best operating on the right in the new year, given that only Dan James looks most natural on the right out of our options.
If we were to add a winger with more creative qualities to that side of the pitch, we could be taking our attack to the next level.
Whether that player is Minda remains to be seen, but he’s certainly got the talent to be making an impact at Elland Road.
