manager, Ange Postecoglou. Here’s everything you could possibly want to know about the big man in the dugout.

Eyebrows were raised when Ange Postecoglou was chosen as the new Spurs head coach in June 2023, but he has very quickly won over the Tottenham faithful, and has even endeared himself to the neutral fans, too, thanks to his commitment to attacking, exciting football.

Ange Postecoglou’s time at Tottenham Hotspur

After the high profile appointments of Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy took things in a different direction by hiring the relatively unproven Ange Postecoglou in the summer of 2023. With Tottenham out of European competitions this season, and with star man Harry Kane leaving the club, expectations were pretty low for Spurs going into the 2023/2024 campaign.

However, Tottenham could not have asked for a better start to the season, enjoying a ten game unbeaten run to sit at the top of the Premier League table. Heung-min Son, named as the new Tottenham captain, found his shooting boots, new signing James Maddison was pulling all the strings in midfield, and the Lilywhites defence looked stronger than ever.

Then, the wheels began to fall off when Spurs succumbed to a defeat to Chelsea, with key players leaving the game with suspensions and injuries. Three further defeats followed, but the North London side have since pulled things back together, players are coming back from injuries, which made for an exciting second half of the 23/24 Premier League season where they ended up finishing in fifth place and securing a return to European competition with Europa League qualification.
