No.1 Classic Tennis Player Emma Raducanu announced she is back minutes ago
Emma Raducanu, the 2021 US Open champion, has announced her return to competitive tennis by accepting a wildcard entry into the Dubai Tennis Championships. This decision comes amid a challenging period for Raducanu, who has faced four consecutive match losses and early exits in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Additionally, she was defeated by Iga Swiatek at the Australian Open.
Currently ranked world No. 60, Raducanu is set to compete in a WTA 1000 event featuring the world’s top ten players. She will be supported by her mentor, Jane O’Donoghue, and fitness trainer, Yutaka Nakamura. However, she is currently without a head coach following Nick Cavaday’s departure last month due to health reasons. Former coach Rick Macci has suggested that Raducanu needs a winning mentality to elevate her game.
Raducanu’s return to the Dubai Tennis Championships marks a significant step in her comeback journey, as she aims to overcome recent setbacks and regain her form on the court.
