Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, donated $5 million to Texas Tech (their alma mater), the final funding necessary for the program to complete their “$242 million South End Zone and Dustin R. Womble Football Center project.” Mahomes will now be the namesake for both Texas Tech’s quarterback meeting room as well as the offensive coordinator’s office. Given Mahomes’ brilliance at Texas Tech and now the Kansas City Chiefs, both honors are more than warranted.
