Penn State’s Nicholas Singleton Rejects $4.5M NIL Offer to Stay, Eyeing Championship Glory

In a bold move that has reverberated throughout the college football landscape, Penn State’s star running back Nicholas Singleton has reportedly turned down a staggering $4.5 million Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) offer from Georgia and Notre Dame. Instead, Singleton has chosen to remain with the Nittany Lions for the 2025 season, reaffirming his commitment to the program and its pursuit of a national championship.

Singleton, who amassed 1,099 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in the 2024 season, announced his decision in January, emphasizing his dedication to team goals and his desire to graduate from Penn State. “We still have goals we want to reach as a team, and I want to be alongside my teammates as we reach those goals,” Singleton stated in his announcement.

The junior running back’s choice to stay comes despite significant interest from other top programs. His performance in the Orange Bowl, where he scored three touchdowns despite Penn State’s narrow 27-24 loss to Notre Dame, showcased his elite talent and further increased his market value.

Singleton’s decision is also notable given the recent departure of Penn State’s running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider to Notre Dame. Seider had been instrumental in developing Singleton and fellow running back Kaytron Allen, both of whom have been pivotal to Penn State’s offensive success.

In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Singleton has secured multiple NIL deals, including partnerships with Rhoback, West Shore Home, and the Penn State-driven collective Happy Valley United. His NIL valuation stands at approximately $871,000, ranking him among the top college football athletes in this space.

As Singleton prepares for his senior season, his commitment to Penn State sends a powerful message about loyalty and the pursuit of collective success over individual financial gain. With both Singleton and Allen returning, the Nittany Lions are poised to make another strong run at the College Football Playoff in 2025.
