BREAKING NEWS: Florida State Pursuing Defensive Line Help in Transfer Portal

Florida State is actively searching the NCAA transfer portal for reinforcements on the defensive line following key departures that have left depth concerns ahead of the 2025 season.

The Seminoles have lost several impact players, including standout edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr., who entered the portal after a strong season, and Darrell Jackson Jr. and Joshua Farmer, both of whom declared for the NFL Draft. Additionally, reserves Byron Turner Jr. and Tomiwa Durojaiye are also headed elsewhere via the portal.

To fill the gaps, FSU has already landed some promising additions. Among them is James Williams, a pass-rushing specialist from Nebraska, and Jayson Jenkins, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound lineman from Tennessee who brings size and SEC experience to the trenches.

Head coach Mike Norvell and defensive coordinator Tony White are prioritizing experience and immediate impact from transfer players as they look to maintain a dominant defensive front in 2025. With the portal still open and more names emerging daily, expect Florida State to stay aggressive in its pursuit of defensive line talent.

Stay tuned as the Seminoles continue reloading for another championship push.
