Jack Draper has emerged as Britain’s new tennis sensation, capturing fans’ admiration following his remarkable performances, including his first Masters 1000 title win at Indian Wells and a surge into the ATP top 10.
Draper’s victory run in California, where he defeated four top-15 players, propelled him to a career-high world ranking of No. 6. This breakthrough follows a successful 2024 season that also saw him claim titles in Stuttgart and Vienna, as well as a semi-final appearance at the US Open.

In contrast, Emma Raducanu, who stunned the world by winning the 2021 US Open as a qualifier, has struggled to recapture that form. While she did reach the Miami Open quarterfinals recently, her inconsistency and frequent injury-related withdrawals have slowed her momentum.

In a recent Express Sport poll, 85% of readers voted Draper as the most successful active British tennis player. Raducanu received just 6% of the vote, with other players like Katie Boulter, Cameron Norrie, and Dan Evans trailing behind.
Though Raducanu once reached world No. 10 in July 2022, she has yet to add another title to her record. Currently ranked No. 47, she has opted to focus on training after withdrawing from both the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers and the WTA 250 event in Rouen.
