JUST IN: Funeral Services for Delila Jane May Set for April 29, 2025
Coffeeville, AL – Funeral services for Delila Jane May, 71, will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at CenterPoint Baptist Church in Coffeeville. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at CenterPoint Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Marcus Long will officiate.
Mrs. May passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 26, surrounded by her family. Born on April 30, 1953, in Grove Hill, Alabama, she was the daughter of Roland Roscoe Murphy and Ida Mae Taylor Murphy. A devoted homemaker, Delila cherished time with her family and friends and was known for her warmth, strength, and enduring kindness.
She is survived by her husband, Otis Wade May; son, Charles Wade May (Tina); sister, Janis Murphy; and three grandchildren: Collin Wade May (Breanna), Aubrey Anna Kammerer (Ryan), and Avey Taylor May. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Mozingo, Zach Hoven, Travis Snow, Eddy Patrick, Parish McLain, and Dale Nichols. Honorary pallbearers include Jason Robertson, Rodger Pugh, Darryl Dunagan, Donnie Joe Bradford, Paul Parden, and members of Legacy Hospice.
Arrangements are being handled by Bumpers Funeral Home of Butler.
