Chytil started the first three games of the series before being a healthy scratch on Tuesday night for safety reasons.
The 24-year-old attacker sustained a concussion in November and missed the entire regular season, so the Rangers are simply being cautious with him and making sure he is not overworked after months of inactivity.
“This is just part of Fil’s return from such a long layoff, and we believe it is best for him to continue to move forward with us,” Rangers coach Peter Laviolette said after Game 4. “You’re asking a lot of a person who has been out for six months to come back in and get up to speed. This is part of the strategy for him.
