JUST NOW: An Oklahoma offensive line recruit runs a blistering 100-meter sprint

Eddy Pierre-Louis, a four-star offensive lineman, announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Friday. He selected Oklahoma over UCF, Miami, Oregon, and Texas A&M.

“Having good coaches around will aid in my development and propel me to the next level.” “Coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh also has a great track record of producing big-time offensive linemen, and I want to be one of those big-time offensive linemen,” Pierre-Louis told Rivals.com.

“That’s the best type of ball going into the SEC, too.” Going up against those types of defensive linemen, I believe you gain more recognition in the SEC.”

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Pierre-Louis is Oklahoma’s fifth offensive line commitment for the 2024 recruiting class. His addition elevates the Sooners to No. 6 in Rivals’ team rankings.

Rivals ranked Pierre-Louis as the best guard in the country, and for good reason. He is not only of ideal size and strength, but he is also remarkably athletic. At his current weight of 315 pounds, he runs a 12.97 100m, which is unheard of.

Assume you’re an opposing defensive back and you see Pierre-Louis barreling toward you on a pull at those speeds. Thank you and good luck.

“They run my type of scheme, for real,” Pierre-Louis explained. “They run RPOs and pulls, and I love to run, and I think I show that on film a lot.” I’m also more able to go after those defenders now that I’m running track.”

Oklahoma is bound to have some bulldozer moments in the near future.
