Nickens originally announced his commitment to Emmett Jones and company in August, joining fellow 4-star wideouts Elijah Thomas and Gracen Harris in the Sooners’ 2025 recruiting class.
Rated the No. 106 overall player and No. 9 wide receiver in the upcoming cycle, Nickens is a huge loss for Oklahoma, as the athletic playmaker helped give Brent Venables and company one of the top six recruiting classes in the country.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Nickens is a two-sport star who excels in both football and basketball, receiving numerous Division I offers in both sports. After leading Millwood (OK) to a state title berth in football last season, the Oklahoma City product transferred to Douglass (OK), where he helped the Trojans to a state championship on the hardwood.
