Florida announced

Hargreaves is the type of defensive back who has an indirect impact on the game even when he is not actively involved. To prevent disaster, opposing quarterbacks avoid throwing to his side of the field.

Losing Hargreaves is a blow to the Gators’ secondary and defense as a whole.

His absence did not prevent the Gators from defeating the East Carolina Pirates on Saturday, but the club will undoubtedly need him when SEC play resumes next week against the Kentucky Wildcats.

Hargreaves picked up the issue during practice on Sept. 10. Wilson played in 12 games as a true freshman.

Over the past couple of years, Hargreaves has grown into one of Florida’s most important defensive players. He intercepted three passes in both his freshman and sophomore seasons. He also led the SEC in pass breakups (13) in 2014.
