SAD NEWS: Kansas City Chiefs fans discovered ‘frozen to death’ in friend’s lawn following NFL Playoffs

Three Kansas City Chiefs fans allegedly died after visiting a home to watch a game versus the Los Angeles Chargers and never returning. A family member stated that on January 7, the three men went to a home on the 5200 block of NW 83rd Terrace in Kansas City to watch the game. They were later discovered frozen to death, according to reports.

A few days later, one of the men’s fiancee went looking for him. She eventually called the police, who confirmed that there was a body on the front porch.

According to NBC News, “Upon further investigation, officers located two other dead bodies in the back yard,” according to the Kansas City Police Department. The males who died have been named as Ricky Johnson, 38, Clayton McGeeney, 36, and David Harrington, 37. Stephanie Walling, Johnson’s niece, stated that the men had been friends since high school. There were “no obvious signs of foul play.” There have been no arrests made.

“First and foremost, this case is absolutely not being investigated as a homicide,” Kansas City Police Capt. Jake Becchina told Fox Sports.

“There have been no arrests or charges, and no one is in custody. There are currently no specific threats or worries for the neighboring neighborhood, according to Becchina. “The resident at the house was cooperative with detectives the day the deceased were discovered.”

“It’s devastating because I just want to know what happened, I just want to know how things went down,” Walling said in a statement. “Even if we don’t ever know the answer, it’ll always be something that kind of lingers in the back of my head, because it’s not something I’d wish on anybody and just thinking of him going through it, it hurts.”
