LATEST NEWS; Chiefs  moves to the Super Bowl for this

The Chiefs will make their fourth Super Bowl trip in five years, this time as defending champs. Kansas City defeated the Ravens at Baltimore, 17-10, to win the AFC Championship.
The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in five seasons after defeating the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 on the road. Since the New England Patriots, no NFL club has won consecutive Super Bowl championships.

The Chiefs scored a touchdown on their first drive and never trailed throughout the game. On defence, the Chiefs forced three turnovers against the Ravens. Two of them were in the end zone, with the Ravens on the

When Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt accepted the Lamar Hunt trophy in a formal presentation on the pitch following the game, he told Jim Nantz that he was thinking of his mother, Norma Hunt, who died last year.

“Four years ago, when you handed us our first Lamar Hunt trophy, I gave it to Mom and the first thing she did was kiss it,” he went on to say.

Landon Nichols, a lifelong Chiefs fan, watched Sunday’s game at Jim’s Alley Bar in Kansas City’s Crossroads neighbourhood. At the end of the game, knowing the Chiefs were on their way to another Super Bowl, he remarked it was a terrific day to be a Kansas City resident.

I’m not sure how we got this off, but it’s fantastic,” Nichols remarked. “It feels good.” Another Super Bowl. We are currently in the best age of football for Kansas City, and it is incredible.”

Zach Shore also watched the game at Jim’s Alley Bar. At halftime, with the Chiefs ahead, he thought Mahomes was playing well while the Ravens quarterback appeared to be losing steam. Shore stated after the game that Kelce had played his finest game of the season.

“Lamar Jackson looked tired from quarter one to quarter four,” he said. “He seemed exhausted. Patrick Mahomes looked thirsty and hungry. He was ready to battle, and they started fighting right away.”

Joey Beim, a Chiefs fan, thinks the squad played well in the first half but struggled in the second. Still, the squad won, and that was all that counted, he continued.

“Growing up, being a Chiefs fan was very hard ’cause we were so bad for so long,” Beim told ESPN. “And then, in the last, you know, five years, we’ve won two Super Bowls, been to three, and are now heading to another one. So let us win another one.”

The AFC Championship was contested away from Arrowhead Stadium for the first time since the Mahomes era, a testimony to the team’s tenacity and conference dominance under head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The team’s sixth consecutive appearance in the AFC Championship falls only two short of the New England Patriots’ record run from 2011 to 2018.

“I knew we’d be fine going on the road,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes told CBS at the Lamar Hunt trophy presentation for the AFC Championship.

The Chiefs’ toughest game of the season came against the AFC’s top seed, the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs’ defence faced up against the league’s highest-rated passer, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the offence faced a dominant defence. The Ravens allowed the fewest rushing yards per game in the league, as well as the fewest points (16.5 per game).

Erik Nestor, a Chiefs supporter, thought the Ravens would be a tough opponent on Sunday.

“I didn’t think the Chiefs would pull it out,” Nestor stated after the game. “I believed we were going to be cooked, but we cooked them.

The game comes a week after the Chiefs’ hard-fought victory against the Buffalo Bills, which was Mahomes’ first playoff game on the road and demonstrated the team’s ability to win in difficult situations.

Next, the Chiefs will travel to Paradise, Nevada, for Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, February 11. The game, which starts at 5:30 p.m. CT, will air on CB.
