Head coach Luke Fickell received a one-year contract extension in February 2025, extending his tenure through 2032. Fickell, who previously had a contract through 2031, earned $7.7 million last season, ranking him fifth-highest paid in the Big Ten. In his second season at Wisconsin, he led the team to a 5-7 record in 2024 and a 7-6 record with a bowl appearance in 2023. Fickell became the head coach in November 2022, replacing Paul Chryst. He holds an overall head coaching record of 76-38, which includes his tenures at Ohio State, Cincinnati, and Wisconsin.

Women’s Basketball

Marisa Moseley resigned as head coach of the women’s basketball team after four seasons, citing personal reasons. Her tenure concluded with a 47-75 record. This decision follows allegations from former player Tessa Towers, who accused Moseley of creating a toxic environment and mistreatment. The university is investigating these claims. Men’s Ice Hockey

Mike Hastings, appointed in March 2023, is the current head coach of the men’s ice hockey team. Prior to joining Wisconsin, Hastings led Minnesota State to multiple conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances.
