2024 BEST NEWS EVER; Re-Signings reveals

Wests Tigers is pleased to announce the signing of Solomon Alaimalo, a New Zealand outside back who has joined the club’s top-30 roster for the 2024 NRL season.

The 27-year-old is transitioning to rugby league after spending many seasons in Super Rugby with the Waikato Chiefs and most recently with Canterbury in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship.

The Auckland-born speedster played junior rugby for Canterbury before making his Super Rugby debut with the Chiefs in 2017, when he was voted Rookie of the Year.

Wests Tigers head coach Benji Marshall believes Alaimalo, who stands nearly two metres tall, will make a significant contribution to the squad.

“We’re very excited to have Solomon join the club,” Marshall added.

This location [the Zurich Centre] is great, and I can’t wait to get settled in and start pre-season training.

“There are a lot of guys in the squad who are from back home, including Benji, so that probably will make it even easier for me to adjust to my new home here at Wests Tigers.”

Solomon will travel to New Zealand to spend Christmas with his family before moving to Sydney with his partner and two dogs early in the new year.
