Sharks star thrown out of field for

Despite withdrawing from the NRL All Stars in Townsville due to injuries, Cody Walker and Dalin Watene-Zelezniak are still expected to play in the Telstra Premiership season’s first round.

Walker is dealing with a calf injury and has stayed in Sydney to rehab in order to be ready for the Rabbitohs’ trip to Las Vegas, while Watene-Zelezniak has a hip problem.

The Warriors have put the prolific winger on a modified training programme this week, with the expectation that he will be ready for Round 1.

Meanwhile, halfback Shaun Johnson (ankle) is gradually integrating into team training and has increased his workload this week.

Earlier, new Cowboys captain Reuben Cotter ruled himself out of the All Stars match due to recent head injuries, while Broncos five-eighth Ezra Mam will miss the game due to a niggling groyne issue. Titans
