Countless games featuring the UNC men’s basketball team from mid-December to late-January are likely to have ended in convincing UNC victories. The Tar Heels (19-6, 11-3) emerged as a Final Four contender during this time, starting a 10-game winning streak. North Carolina got off to a fast start, defeating Oklahoma, who had never lost before, before winning its tenth consecutive game on the road against Florida State.UNC has appeared much more like an at-large NCAA Tournament club since that victory in Tallahassee in late January. While North Carolina triumphed handily over archrival Duke and Miami (FL), they also suffered defeats at the hands of Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and Clemson.
