BREAKING NEWS: Bankstown have just released him

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs’ representative winger Josh Addo-Carr is reportedly linked to an exit, raising doubts over his future there.

The 28-year-old was part of a contentious incident at the Koori Knockout competition earlier this month that caused him to leave Mal Meninga’s Australian Kangaroos team before it was thought that the matter had been resolved through peace negotiations with Bulldogs powerbrokers.

However, earlier this week, rumors surfaced that the winger would be joining the Parramatta Eels, and News Corp. even suggested a potential trade including Ryan Matterson.

Gould also explained the reason behind a recent meeting with Addo-Carr before underlining the winger’s importance at the club.

“Josh had an eventful couple of weeks and we just wanted to make sure that he was okay, make sure he was all settled down,” he said.

“He probably knows that he stepped out of the crease there a little bit [at the Koori Knockout], but people make mistakes, that’s the way it goes.
