TRENDING NEWS: “I Will Leave For Him To Play” Ravens Star Confirm He Will Leave If he Return

Any fan of the Baltimore Ravens who had said going into the season that Geno Stone and Justin Madubuike would be key players in the offseason would have been laughed out of all hell. A few months later, Stone is a hot commodity and Madubuike might land a $20 million contract annually.

After just three seasons as a seldom-used backup, Stone became the AFC’s leading interceptions leader with seven takeaways. The moment to have a breakout year and enter the free market for the former Iowa standout could not have been better.

Although Madubuike expressed his desire to stay in Baltimore for the foreseeable future, he acknowledged that now is the ideal moment for him to make a big money grab and demonstrate to the world that “business is business.” Stone appears to have the same desire to rejoin the Ravens while simultaneously keeping an eye out for greater offers elsewhere.

“Business is business, but at the end of the day, Baltimore is home,” Stone stated on NFL Network. “After all, you’ve been in this league for this long. I’ve experienced everything, particularly my first year. All I really want is to be a starter, wherever that may be, and to be appreciated someplace.”
