Braden Hamlin-Uele, a forward with the Cronulla Sharks, has signed a long-term contract that will keep him there through the conclusion of the 2026 campaign.

After being cut from his contract at the end of the season and being connected to the New Zealand Warriors, Hamlin-Uele has chosen to sign a two-year contract extension with the Cronulla Sharks.

In a statement to the media, a thankful Hamlin-Uele stated, “I had this sort of realisation moment of having to look at the boys and tell them – if I was to leave – that I was leaving.”

“I immediately sobbed and realized that I was supposed to be in the Shire and to be a Cronulla Shark for as long as possible.

“I love this club and the boys are everything to me.” I’m incredibly happy and glad that I get to spend an additional two years with them since I adore them like a second family.”
