The Wolverines went undefeated during the regular season, defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship, and qualified for the College Football Playoff for the third straight year. However, some of their players are still considering leaving. Cameron Calhoun, a freshman cornerback, will join the transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.

Joey Velazquez, a linebacker, also entered the transfer portal on Thursday. In his four years with the Wolverines, Valazquez has seven tackles. Michigan also lost running backs Leon Franklin and CJ Stokes to transfers, but added offensive tackle Josh Priebe from Northwestern and linebacker Jaishawn Barham from Maryland.
