This Clemson team’s tenacity during games one through thirteen is evidence of their fighting spirit. This second half of the season is so exciting for the team that plays in the bowl game the following year because they had to claw their way back into the game after falling behind by double digits in the second half. Although Cade Klubnik’s performance was not at its peak, the last drive of the game will live on in the memories of Clemson supporters for the foreseeable future. Super-senior DE Xavier Thomas caused a fumble and produced a massive sack. Thomas overcame many injuries to play his final game wearing the Tiger uniform.There were chances for players to step in and shine because of a few transfers and opt-outs prior to the Gator Bowl. Wade Woodaz and Shelton Lewis are two names that were up to the challenge. Their Friday efforts demonstrated that they are prepared to take the lead in the upcoming season. Lewis made several excellent plays with the ball and the game-winning interception to replace Nate Wiggins, who was headed to the NFL. In the Tigers’ run game, Woodaz was everywhere, suppressing Ray Davis and company’s rush attack. Khalil Barnes, a rookie defensive back, did what he does best—he made plays that changed the game and gave the offense the ball back. LB With a 0.5, Barrett Carter, who declared his comeback for 2024, shown that he is prepared to captain this defense.
