Bankstown coach compensation has been increased to $15 million

Dean Pay has resigned as head coach of the Bulldogs.

Off-contract Pay met with Canterbury authorities today to announce his resignation, which will take effect immediately, despite just having one victory this season.

It is anticipated that until a replacement is identified, current assistant coach Steve Georgalis will serve as the team’s acting head coach.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Andrew Hill expressed gratitude to Pay in a club statement: “These circumstances are never easy, especially when they concern someone who has been a longstanding member of the Bulldogs family. However, the truth is that Dean and the Club agreed that it was now the appropriate moment for both sides to move in a different direction in order to advance the team.
