Lagway was the most accomplished high school player in the country while only being ranked seventh in the 247Sports composite. During his senior year at Texas’ Willis High, he recorded 4,604 passing yards, 957 rushing yards, and 74 total touchdowns. He was named national player of the year by MaxPreps, Gatorade, and other companies as a result.
