What an alarming news for Dallas: He has just resigned

The Dallas Cowboys are focused on winning a Super Bowl, but the offseason, which is secretly just three months away, will involve important choices.

The contract extensions that need to be worked out should come first. Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb, and Osa Odighizuwa—who leads defensive tackles this season with a 19% pass-rush win rate—are among the players who can sign new contracts.

Although that ought to be the top priority, the Cowboys also have a number of important players who will be eligible for unrestricted free agency following the season.

Tyron Smith, a left tackle, is the most prominent one. Cowboys supporters accepted before the season that Smith will leave Dallas in 2023. Following a terrible string of injuries, Smith is now healthy, and he has produced another All-Pro-caliber season shielding Prescott’s blindside, winning over most fans to want him back for 2024.

Smith’s contract projection from Pro Football Focus suggests that keeping the eight-time Pro Bowler should be a simple option.

These Dallas Cowboys players will be signing autographs at the Galleria on Dec. 6 - kajotpoker.com
