GREAT NEWS: Cubs Coach List Out Five Potential Targets To Replace

Cubs Understand Mistakes Will Happen for Young Slugger at Third Base.
The Chicago Cubs understand that their young star batter will make defensive errors.

During the winter, there were rumours that the Chicago Cubs might deal Christopher Morel. After hitting 26 home runs in 2023, his worth was likely at an all-time high throughout the league.

Despite the power increase, Morel may struggle to obtain time because he does not have a fixed position.

He has played every outfield position, second base, third base, and even shortstop. However, he was the team’s designated hitter for 61 of his 107 games last season.

Many expect him to play third base full-time this season.

As things stand, the logical position for him would be third base, which is the only infield position without a designated starter.

With those come new challenges, which were already an issue during Spring Training.

Manager Craig Counsell is not concerned about Morel’s blunders at the hot corner, stating, “I want action, balls hit to you,” according to Sahadev Sharma of The Athlet.
