MARCH 18. DIEBLER’S DEAL.The contract details for new Ohio State Men’s Basketball Coach Jake Diebler were published following his introductory press conference on Monday.
According to the statement, Diebler has signed a five-year contract with an annual base salary of $2.5 million.
He will also receive a number of incentives, including $25,000 for a Big Ten title or co-title, $50,000 for winning the Big Ten Tournament, $25,000 for an at-large NCAA Tournament bid, $50,000 for making the Sweet 16, $75,000 for the Elite Eight, and $100,000 for making the final four.

If Diebler leads the Buckeyes to a national championship, he will receive $250,000, with an extra $50,000 awarded if he is named Big Ten or National Coach of the Year. Finally, if the team’s annual total GPA falls between 3.0 and 3.4, he receives a $50,000 incentive. And if his GPA is 3.5 or higher, he receives $100,000 in additional money.
Diebler will coach his first game as the official head coach of the programme on Tuesday against Cornell in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament.
