According to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, the Chicago Bears passed up the finest offer for quarterback Justin Fields.
Fields will be traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a conditional sixth-round pick in 2025, the Bears announced on Saturday. If certain conditions are satisfied, the choice could be selected in the fourth round.
General manager Ryan Poles addressed the decision, saying the group decided to do “what is best for both Justin and the Bears.”
