After their third season together left the squad in disarray, it was inevitable that the Chicago Bears would let Justin Fields go. That does not, however, lessen the agony of the separation.

It was reasonable that some of the Bears’ players who enjoyed playing with the Ohio State product would be dissatisfied with the way the whole situation was handled, even though the team made every effort to ensure Fields ended up with the appropriate team.

Cole Kmet, a tight end, was among the athletes who felt wronged by the Justin Fields deal. He did clarify, though, that he was relatively impressed with the Bears’ handling to the situation as a whole.
