BREAKING NEWS: Kentucky fans want him to be fired immediately after

Following the Wildcats’ 80-76 loss to Oakland in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday night, Kentucky supporters are taking a hard line against head coach John Calipari.

Kentucky’s second upset in the last three seasons came from the No. 14-seeded Golden Grizzlies’ spectacular upset of the No. 3-seeded Wildcats. In 2022, the Wildcats were a No. 2 seed and were beaten by St. Peter’s, who was ranked No. 15.

College basketball supporters demanded that head coach Calipari be fired following the game, ending his 15-year tenure.

It’s not clear whether Calipari’s future is in jeopardy or not, but he will certainly be nervous heading into this offseason. While the last few seasons have been marred by early exits, Kentucky has reached the Final Four three times and won a championship under Calipari, but the latest upset could be enough to end his tenure in Lexington.
