Los Angeles, California (WTVM) – The Alabama Crimson Tide is set to meet their old rivals, the Clemson Tigers. And no, we’re not discussing football.
The Tide is coming off a massive upset in the Sweet 16 over the top-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels. They defeated the Tar Heels 89-87 on Thursday night, reaching the Elite Eight for the second time in school history.
The Tigers are also coming off of an upset victory, defeating two-seeded Arizona 77-72 to reach the Elite Eight for the first time since 1980.
On the football pitch, the Tide and Tigers are familiar faces, but in basketball, things are different. Instead of competing for the National Championship or a CFP Semi-Final slot, the Tide and Tigers will fight for a spot in the Final Four.
The huge match-up is slated for Saturday, March 30 at 8:49/7:49c at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
