TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — Alabama football will appear different in a variety of ways in 2024. With Kalen DeBoer now patrolling the sideline instead of Nick Saban, that alone would be enough of a difference for some, but the actual on-field product will also alter significantly.

DeBoer brings with him a high-powered offensive system that helped drive Washington to the national championship game last season, as well as quarterback Michael Penix Jr., a Heisman Trophy nominee.

The Huskies were ranked in the top 15 in college football in terms of yards per game and points per game, as well as first in pass yards per game. DeBoer’s scheme revolves around the quarterback, and when dynamic receivers on the outside, like as Washington’s Rome Odunze last season, are added, the passing offence totals more than 5,000 yards.

Obviously, returning Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and Alabama’s outside weapons will benefit greatly from this new system, but how does this affect the Crimson Tide running backs?
