Luke Metcalf has undergone surgery after breaking the tibia in his right leg during the Warriors’ match against Newcastle.
In the ninth minute of the game, Knights second-rower Tyson Frizell tackled the five-eighth and forced him to leave the field.
It is a significant blow for the Warriors, since Metcalf had been performing well as Shaun Johnson’s halves partner, but the team is confident that he will return later in the season.
