The ending was a nightmare for the Detroit Lions on Saturday night against the Dallas Cowboys. The Lions were robbed by the officials but former Michigan Wolverines standout Aidan Hutchinson still put together a stellar performance with three sacks.
It was the second three-sack performance of the Michigan football legend’s career with the Lions. Hutch has 47 tackles this season but also 9.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 25 QB hits, three forced fumbles, an interception, and two fumble recoveries.
In the short, Hutch is dominating the NFL like he did during his days with Michigan football. Anyone saying he was a bust or anything of the sort, literally knows nothing about the game. He’s been a Pro-Bowl player and another reason Detroit did win the game last night — even if the NFL refs robbed them.
ESPN reports old news about Jim Harbaugh
Adam Schefter reported on Saturday night that Jim Harbaugh his hired a new agent Don Yee. Only this isn’t new. It was reported by Chris Balas of The Wolverine weeks ago.
I like Adam Schefter — he’s a Michigan guy, but he doesn’t have the most reliable information when it comes to Jim Harbaugh. The fact that Harbaugh has hired an agent could be concerning, but it’s probably the right thing for him to do instead of doing the work himself.
It does seem like Harbaugh will listen to NFL offers. But the Michigan football head coach appears to want to be with the Wolverines. He even said on Saturday about the future of four-star freshman quarterback Jadyn Davis — “I can’t wait to coach him.”
Right now, the focus is on Alabama and trying to win a national championship. Trust me, that’s the only think Jim Harbaugh is worried about right now, as it should be.
Karsen Barnhart will go pro
Michigan football starting offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart won’t return to the Michigan Wolverines next season. He did have another year of eligibility if he chose to use it, however, Barnhart said he decided before the season to go to the NFL. He’s likely to be joined by Zak Zinter and Trevor Keegan.
Yet, the Wolverines just added a former All-Big Ten guard from Northwestern. There will be some other additions too, plus Michigan football has plenty of up-and-coming pieces that are ready for their opportunity.
